Mohamed Omar
Born in Saudi Arabia to a Nubian family, I grew up moving between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, then returned to Saudi Arabia to start my career before eventually settling in Ireland. That sense of movement never really stopped — over the years I've lived in, worked in, or spent meaningful time across the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Portugal, the UK, Germany, the USA, Tunisia, the UAE, and Indonesia. Professionally, that's shaped into building cloud-native architecture, data platforms, and — most recently — the compliance infrastructure behind humanoid robots. Outside of work, I'm drawn to the same restlessness: 3D printing, scuba diving, new cultures and music, and whatever idea is worth building next.
Building things that have to work.
I'm the founder and CTO of Robotic Eir, an Irish robotics and digital infrastructure company building the Humanoid Robot Registration System (HRRS) — digital identity, ownership tracking, compliance, and lifecycle governance for humanoid robots. The build is backed by a competitively-won Enterprise Ireland Innovation Voucher, and I own the architecture end-to-end: microservices, cloud infrastructure, and the product itself.
I've also spent years teaching — as a part-time instructor for Oracle University, and now as a volunteer coding and 3D-printing teacher for high school students. A technologist at heart since age 12 — still true today, just with bigger machines.
Founder & CTO, Robotic Eir
Humanoid Robot Registration System (HRRS) — digital identity, safety, and compliance infrastructure for humanoid robots, with a secure QR-based Robot Identity framework and EU AI Act alignment. Backed by partnerships with Enterprise Ireland and TUS. Cork, Ireland.
Architecting the HRRS arrow_forwardData Architect Consultant, Guidewire
Spearheaded the company's cloud vision on AWS, driving migrations to cloud-native infrastructure for Tier-1 global insurance clients. Dublin, Ireland.
Advisor Data Engineer, Dell Technologies
Architected a Data Lake as a Service (DLaaS) platform on Hadoop and Greenplum, and built an automated DataOps orchestration framework across Python, Kafka, RabbitMQ, StreamSets, and Control-M. Innovation Lead facilitating 22+ Design Thinking workshops — 1st place worldwide (2021) and 1st place EMEA (2020) in Dell's Global Innovation Competition. Cork, Ireland.
Senior Software Developer — Team Lead, Core Technology
Led the Oracle ADF development team on enterprise Milling systems for animal feed production end-to-end, and led the platform's migration from Oracle ADF 11g to 12c. Cork, Ireland.
Senior Oracle Fusion Middleware Consultant — Team Lead, MoMRAH
Led the middleware team on the "Baladi" Municipal Transformation Program, partnering with McKinsey, Oracle, and Deloitte to architect a centralized citizen information system on Oracle BPM, SOA, and WebCenter Portal — a 12-person team serving 20M+ citizens across 260+ municipalities. Saudi Arabia.
Senior Application Developer, Smart Developer
Designed Oracle ADF applications for business process management and mobile frameworks, leading development teams across multiple client-facing projects. Saudi Arabia.
Earlier Experience
- Naham Tech, Saudi Arabia (2011–2012) — PHP, Java, and Adobe FLEX web architectures.
- ElDarb Technology, Saudi Arabia (2008–2011) — Oracle ADF solutions, including vessel maintenance systems for the Saudi Border Guard Marine Command.
- Globe Soft, Egypt (2007–2008) — Java Swing and SQL Server systems for warehouse and hospital operations.
Technologist at heart — where it all started.
What I actually work with
Nineteen years of stack, condensed into five categories — from Oracle middleware to humanoid robot compliance.
Solutions Architecture & Cloud
Backend Engineering & Data
Product & Program Leadership
Robotics, AI & HRI
Governance & Compliance
Certifications
A structured collection — like a reef, each one built on the last. Robotics, cloud, insurance tech, and a few things picked up for the sheer curiosity of it.

Beyond the architecture diagrams
Scuba diving
A PADI-certified diver since 2010, from Red Sea reef walls to colder Irish waters. Diving is where the noise stops — the same attention to pressure, depth, and margin for error that goes into architecting systems that can't fail.
The discipline of depth arrow_forwardTeaching & making
Volunteer teacher for high school students, running hands-on coding and 3D printing classes, on top of years as a part-time Oracle University instructor. The same instinct for building things by hand now shows up in Robotic Eir's hardware.
Essentials of 3D Construction Printing, 2023Toastmasters
Years of competing at club and area level, culminating in being named Top Performing Toastmaster for District 71 (UK & Ireland) in 2023 — communication and leadership practiced deliberately, not just picked up on the job.
The leadership blueprint arrow_forwardTravel
A genuine travel habit — Granada's Alhambra, city squares across Europe, and wherever the next dive site happens to be. The same curiosity about how places and systems are put together, pointed outward.
"Whether it's 30 metres underwater or three layers deep in a cloud architecture diagram, the discipline is the same: know your limits, plan the dive, dive the plan."
A few markers along the way
Competitions and communication awards — evidence that the work holds up outside my own head.
As seen in print
Clonmel Toastmasters' President's Dinner and Awards Night — held Thursday, 26th June — made the local papers, covered by both The Nationalist and the Tipp Echo, marking the club's enduring legacy of excellence in public speaking, communication, and leadership development.
A nice bit of proof that the communication practice pays off outside the club room too.

A few frames from underwater, from robotics labs, and from the road.
